Quebec taxi - credit card?

Do the taxis in Quebec accept credit cards? Just trying to determine how much cash to convert to Canadian. I think the taxi will be the only large bill that we may not be able to charge. We will mostly be using cash for tips and small purchases, as we plan to take several ship excursions. We plan to go to Montmorentcy Falls before going to our hotel in Vieux Quebec.

Hi Linda, I can't recall when was the last time I took a cab that didn't accept them!

 

Taxi Co-op is the largest operator and has branches in nearly all neighborhoods and accepts Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.

 

Taxi Québec is smaller but accepts them too.

BTW taxi fares are as follows:

According to the website for Jean Lesage Airport, the taxi fare is a flat $32.50 Canadian from the airport to downtown Quebec City. http://www.aeroportdequebec.com/Html/en-ca/GroundTransportation&Services.shtml
