My family and I are looking for either 1 or 2 nights at the La Quinta in Galveston. I am looking at the one located at 1402 Seawall Blvd. What is near there and how is the hotel itself?

Thanks or any and all info.

It is a motel and is oldest Quinta in Galveston.

Not a problem though.

It should not have had any major damage from storm.

It looks nice and is kept up, like most in the chain do.

I have not seen rooms. It is a Quinta and should be nice.

TO DO? Not alot to do there.

Eat in couple of nice restuarants and walk on the beach sun and swim.

Otherwise:

Go to Moody Gardens :D, Schlitterbaun,Go to Downtown Strand and Post Office Street , PORT, 25th to 50Th on Seawall, Historical Galveston things, hang out at Spot, music and theater venues, Museums, 1894 Grand Opera House, Elissa Tall Ship, Aircraft Museum

Keep coming with questions. Be glad to help.

I stayed there one time and only one time! It is old and very much in need of renovating. If you like old smelly motels, you will love that La Quinta. I have stayed in other La Quinta motels along with a host of others since I used to travel for business all the time and I can say that it was one of the worst I ever stayed in. There are much better accommodations in Galveston than that seedy place.
