andychris Posted May 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Questions, we have many, lol. Hope you had a nice trip. How was dining? Did you have anytime or the set time? How was the shows? What type of room did you have? How was the crew? Overall we have been hearing that they are understaffed and are getting burnt out. Did you find that? I am sure there are many more questions. Give us a review even if it is brief. Thanks
lukegr Posted May 4, 2009 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Q - What's the purpose of this post? It's a new port for people sailing the Pride in the near future, so they may have questions about it. Really they could ask anything, which is the purpose of this thread. To Lotsacrusing: How was embarkation? When did you get there? Also, did you stay overnight before? CKEA_Cruising_Family Posted May 4, 2009 #7 Share Posted May 4, 2009 I am just off the Carival Pride cruise out of Baltimore. Please feel free to ask any questions!:p OOOH Thanks! I have lots of questions as well... What time did you arrive at the port? How long did embarkation take? Did you park at the port? Is the waterslide open? Read somewhere it may be closed/broken? Were movies played in the theaters in the afternoon? Which nights were formal or whatever it's called now?
Rob725 Posted May 4, 2009 #8 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Did you park at the pier? I understand that you can drop your bags off when you arrive but what happens when you leave? How do your bags get back to your car from the baggage claim area? I assume they are loaded onto a bus that takes you to the parking area but how much do you have to handle them? thomarvin Posted May 5, 2009 #14 Share Posted May 5, 2009 How old are your kids? Did they have a good time? What did they do? We did RC last year and the kids had ice skating, rock wall, roller blading and basketball. A little nervous this year. Did your kids enjoy it? Lotsacruising Posted May 5, 2009 Author #15 Share Posted May 5, 2009 ok here are some answers I flew in the same day and got right on the ship, I am platinum, which made it easy. I was in balcony 6247. Nice cabin in the center. I had early dining table for 2. Service was lacking almost as if the waiters needed retraining. The shows were ok, the sound system was horrible. Way too much bass! The juggler was excellent, 1 of the commedianes was so bad, he was just tacky. Loved the piano bar, good sing along. Sushi bar was wonderful Disembarkation was the worse I have seen in 75 cruises. Baltimore was not prepared for us. Absolute disaster

figs Posted May 5, 2009 #17 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Goodness! Anything positive about the cruise?!? Since you seem to have missed ALL of them, I will help by bolding the OP's positive remarks for you! ok here are some answers I flew in the same day and got right on the ship, I am platinum, which made it easy. Lotsacruising Posted May 5, 2009 Author #18 Share Posted May 5, 2009 Thanks But this is why I always hesitate to comment on cruises. You get flamed so often!
figs Posted May 5, 2009 #19 Share Posted May 5, 2009 ThanksBut this is why I always hesitate to comment on cruises. You get flamed so often! Ugh, I know. But as I'm on the Pride in September, I actually care about what you've experienced! I guess some people just want to hear that their upcoming ship is perfect and wonderful. I'd rather know all the info I can get my hands on, good and bad. I'd heard Carnival had port issues BEFORE they left Baltimore for a while, and Baltimore was supposed to fix those problems before they'd come back - exactly what went wrong with disembarkation? Thanks again - really, don't let them get you down.
michelle1836 Posted May 5, 2009 #20 Share Posted May 5, 2009 thanks figs!!!! guess it was that last statement that threw me for a loop!! was not meant to be a post against you lotsacruising. just a general statement. sorry if figs took it personally
MarylandLady Posted May 5, 2009 #21 Share Posted May 5, 2009 I'm curious about debarkation also. I was on the Miracle in 2004 out of Baltimore and it was the worst debarkation -- 4 hours or so we sat waiting to get cleared by Customs.
