Itinerary for Constellation

We tend to cruise in February (it's a school thing) and since the Constellation is our ship of choice, I was very disappointed to receive this reply from the Captain's Club.

We were given an itinerary on our last cruise (February, 2004) that included St. Marteen and St. Lucia. However, we'd heard that this had changed to the same itineray as last year (Grenada and DR). This was disappointing as there is not much to do, for us, on these islands and many people seemed to be disappointed at these stops. And, according to the itinerary listed on Celebrity's web site, in 2006, the Constellation will alternate itineraries including Aruba during one week and a more traditional one during 2006. This was exciting for us and we book BTB cruises.

We wrote the CC and this is their reply.

Due to berthing availability, Celebrity Constellation’s January 3 through

April 17, 2004 and November 6 through April 16, 2005 7-night Southern

Judy, we are on the Constellation next week, 12/11/04. If you check out our roll call there has been lots of discussions about the itineray, mostly as it pertains to Grenada. We were on the same cruise last Feb and didn't really care for Grenada but some do. See "Jumbie's" posts as he lives there and his gf works for Celebrity.

Here's a quick peek that I took off Celebrity's website.

It's an example of what the itinerary is like. Provided they don't change it of course, as it's almost a year away. Don't mind the formatting as I just copied and pasted from their Quick Reserve.

Okay, that's as far as I've gotten; I'm not doing the entire 6 months. But it looks like one week you do the same (almost; St Kitts instead of Antigua) itinerary as now and the other, a different one.

Hi Judy-

Just want to confirm that you have the dates right- we also booked for Feb. 2006 expecting Aruba, Dominica, etc. Is this stilll the itinerary?

Julie

As you can see from my post above, on alternating weeks they go to those islands. Again, it's possible that they can change the itinerary if they want.

I was supposed to have left Grenada in Jan 2006 (going to have to stay longer to finish school now cause of the hurricane), and from what I understood the Constellation was no longer going to be coming here from Nov 2005. Looks like that's no longer the case.

I, for one, am happy cause before it didn't make any sense for my g/f to get back on that particular ship as I would have only been here for 2 months of her contract. Now it looks like she can.

I know that no one cares other than myself but, well...hurrah!!!

Since I believe in love, I will say Hurrah ! for you :)
Thanks!

It's kind of funny that after I read this post (and learned that it's possible the Constellation would be coming here again next season), I e-mailed her to tell her about it.

She wrote back to say that she had just taken a look at the revised 2005-2006 itineraries and put in a request for it. Guess I might have ruined her surprise *grin*

Jumbie,

I'm very happy for you and your g/f.

Thank you.

Will you be in Granada in February, 2005?
Yup. I grew up here. Went away to university, graduated and returned last year.

Is you g/f on the Constellation now?
Yes, she started a 6 month contract last month.

We've been doing a long distance relationship since last August, and although I've managed to see her a few times already this year, we were really looking forward to her coming to Grenada every week. Unfortunately, the ship is not coming here this year but might resume visits in Jan '05.

Hopefully she'll be on board this coming November-April as well.
