Any thoughts about the D cabins on PG?

Recommended Posts

My wife and I are booked on the PG for the upcoming solar eclipse cruise departing on 7/15/09. We were fortunate enough to reserve a Cat D window cabin (606) before the renovation took place making all D cabins balcony cabins. We are wondering if anyone has seen these cabins since the renovation and if so, how they compare to the Cat C balcony cabins on Deck 7. Also, we were wondering about any problems with cabin 606 due to its location. Any opinions or advice would be much appreciated.

If no one on this board has an answer, try looking at the deck map on the RSSC website for the Paul Gauguin. Look at deck above and below yours. Generally, cabins below a restaurant or the pool will be a bit noisier (scraping chairs, etc.). Cabins above a smoking area can have smoke wafting up. While this doesn't exactly answer your question, it could give you a better idea of the area of the ship you will be on!

Going on a solar eclipse cruise sounds wonderful. . . . enjoy!:)

we were on the pg right after the renovation, and the deck 6 cabins were identical to deck 7 - they added the balconies....and in fact - deck 6 rec'd new furniture.....so, luck you - it will be fabulous!!!! :)
