sea_u_onboard Posted December 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2004 FIrst - Are there any cabins available? If there are then chances are pretty darn good as long as you are ready to pay. It may not be the same category or even the same deck. If there aren't then you can go on a list list.
Cotton Posted December 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2004 It's certainly possible. The cruise isn't that far away, though, so I'd call ASAP to check. And yes, I have done this before. Last year, about six weeks before a cruise, a friend decided she'd like to go, but I like having my own cabin, so I called to see about getting her one. Luck was on our side, and the Carnival PVP I deal with secured her a cabin directly across the hall from mine. She 'linked' the bookings, so we'd have the same dining room/time, etc. THEN when I found a lower rate three days prior to sail date, we were both given a shipboard credit. SO - If you're able to get that other cabin, make sure the reservations are "linked". Good luck.:)
