NCL's Freestyle Dining Ashore program - Bermuda

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me if NCL still offers the "Freestyle Dining Ashore" program? I can't find anything about it on their Website, although if you Google "Bermuda freestyle dining" you can link to an older version of the NCL website with a list of restaurants, etc.

This program would be a determining factor in deciding to sail NCL to Bermuda. Does anyone know if it's still available?

Thanks to all,

D from NJ

Sadly no. It was a great program.

What was the program before? We were just in King's Wharf and saw a sticker on the Freeport Seafood and Sushi Restaurant that said "NCL Dining Ashore Program" but we had no idea what this meant...

The program partnered with local restaurants. for a $5 charge to your onboard acct. you got a $25 restaurant "gift certificate" so you could eat ashore at a minimal cost. For $10 you got a $50 dinner certificate. Sounded like a great way to sample the local cuisine and made NCL the leader in comparing the various cruise lines' offerings to Bermuda.

I would still consider NCL, as I like the line; it's just a harder decision now.

Thanks for the quick feedback CCers!

Last year there was a brochure in our cabin that listed restaurants that would provide a discount if you showed your boarding pass. Better than nothing.

Recent cruisers will be able to let us know if this option is available (although I seem to think that those brochures didn't show up until June).

To the OP, I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor in choosing Bermuda as a destination! It's a wonderful island!
