Vancouver airport to Ballantyre pier with a stop for supplies

I am arriving at the airport around 11am (next weekend) and heading striaght to Ballantyre Pier.

Does anybody have any suggestions on a place to stop for bottled water and a bottle of wine.

I had planned on taking a cab, unless somebody has any better suggestions.

Is there anything within walking distance of the pier?

Tell you cabbie that you want to go to the Safeway at Granville & 70th, it will be a diversion of about a mile out your way but I can't think of a Safeway or another grocery store that is located east of Granville St. that would be on you route.

Since it appears you are arriving on a Saturday, you are in luck. There is also a

liquor store next to the above Safeway for your wine.

If it's Just Water and wine you want. Tell the cabbie to go via Cambie and have him stop at the Liquor store at 41st. The very best in the LMD (govt store anyways)

There's a safeway at the SE corner of Cambie and 41st (Oakridge) and the biggest liquor store in the province at the NE corner.
