Northern Lights?

In fact, Northern Lights displays have been very infrequent due to the low ebb of what is often referred to as the 10-11 year solar cycle. As Budget Queen recommends, spend your time looking for wildlife.

I saw them Aug. of 2007 the night we left Skagway heading back towards Seattle. They were spectacular---and short lived.

Sue, Loved your photos and your blog! I am so glad you got to have such a wonderful last vacation with your father. Thank you for sharing. I am going all the way to Fairbanks in early Sept. and hope to see the Northern Lights. Even more so now that I have seen your wonderful photo.
