hotels by seattle amtrak

We are heading to ALASKA! Flying into Seattle in mid June and plan to take the amtrak to Vancouver. What hotels are by the amtrak station and do any hotels have a shuttle service? Will be 6am! Also what are the chances of not getting a seat on the amtrak? Names of good hotels in Seattle and Vancouver would be appreciated! Thanks!

There are only two properties in close proximity to Amtrak. Silver Cloud Stadium is about 1/4-1/2 mile away across from Safeco Field. Best Western Pioneer Square is about 1 mile away.

 

Silver Cloud has a shuttle if you don't feel like walking it.

 

The train to Vancouver must be pre-reserved, or there is zero chance of getting a seat. Trains are always sold out on cruise weekends, so you should get your tickets now.

If you like boutique hotels, the Kimpton chain is nice. The Alexis is about 1/2 mi to Amtrak and a quick cab ride (both on South end of town). My daughter stayed there while she was visiting from San Diego and it was very nice.
