venice and or Barcelona Travel passes and hotels

We will arrive in Venice In early July about 2 days before the Summit cruise sails

 

Are there city passes available - if yes where

 

Are there hotel and land packages?

 

Nice Hotels for around $100 a day or less

 

 

 

We are also extending in Barcelona - same questions

You are probably referring to Trip Advisor.

 

Hotels for $100/night in Venice will be tough to find, but Trip Advisor is a good start. What kind of 'city pass' are you looking for? I guess I don't understand that or a 'hotel and land pass' are. Both Venice and Barcelona are very easy to get around in, Venice by walking or taking the water bus (vaporetto) and Barcelona by metro/walking. Many of the major sites (Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, Sagrada Familia) are close in and easily accessed.

many cities have what is called a city pass. They vary from 1 - 7 days. They charge one price for the pass and you get free public transportation and free admission to selected attractions and museum. We have found them in many major cities. I have not seen one for Venice.

The hotel in Barcelona is near to the Metro station.

The hotel in Venice is nearby the Railto Bridge. You can easy to take the waterbus everywhere.

You might also pick up copies of Rick Steves' books on those two cities. He lists reasonably priced hotels and restaurants, and great walking tours.
