gipper77 Posted May 30, 2009 #26 Share Posted May 30, 2009 We were able to get a taxi van (yes, it was set up for the handicap). Form 91 to SeaTac. The route we took was from the pier southeast to Mercer and then stright to Hwy 5 to the airport. 4 people and 8 bags in the van, and it was full. The price was $50.00 plus tip. This price was as of May 24, 2009.
LEtue Posted May 30, 2009 #27 Share Posted May 30, 2009 The mini-van taxis in Seattle are reserved for the handicapped. You will need 2 taxis for a party of six. Last year we got a minivan taxi for 6 of us from SEA to our hotel. No problem!

We used them twice when sailing on the Star in early July. A pleasure to deal with and very professional. Although you are a large group, for smaller parties they use the Executive series Town Cars, which I generally prefer to the standard Town Car. grin_n_gran Posted August 1, 2009 #30 Share Posted August 1, 2009 Is anyone using Princess transfer? We are flying into Seattle on the 5th of September and are thinking of buying transfers. Is that a bad idea? Just curious because I haven't read any post for this service.
Av8tor Posted August 1, 2009 #31 Share Posted August 1, 2009 Is anyone using Princess transfer? We are flying into Seattle on the 5th of September and are thinking of buying transfers. Is that a bad idea? Just curious because I haven't read any post for this service. The Princess xfers are $24 pp, so for two people that's $48. Towncar service should be about $60 plus tip. So, for another $12-24 depending on how much you would tip, you have a private car that is much more comfortable than a bus or van and which leaves when you are ready, not when other people arrive to fill it up. On the other hane, I've heard that with the Princess xfer, your bags are automatically brought from the bus to the ship so that may save some hassle on your part and may also save a tip to the porters. The decision is yours...
