gambler Posted December 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2004 One word, "Excellent" I, hubby and our 9 year old son sailed with Kathleen and first mate Bill. What a wonderful day, truly the highlight of our cruise. We met her promptly at 9:30 am by the flag pole at Red Hook. Another couple from another ship joined us. They were very friendly and fun. We had offerings of pound cake and fruit on the sail out. The bar was open for cocktails, beers, sodas, ice tea, and water, whatever you wanted. We sailed near to St. Johns. We brought our own snorkeling equipment but she had everything you might need. There were also floats to use. We snorkeled for as long as we wanted. Bill will snorkel with you if you are new at this. No rush at all. Lunch was served when we decided to return to the boat. What a lunch!!! Fresh pasta with grilled chicken, bread and salad. It was delicious. (She will give you the recipes if you ask). This was followed by a yummy chocolate cake. White wine was served with lunch, and the full bar was open. They make a great rum sizzle drink. We then had a nice relaxing sail back. We learned a lot about the history of the islands. Our son got to sail the boat. He is still talking about what a great time he had. Kathleen arranged for a cab to take us back to the ship. We still had an hour or so for shopping at Havensight when we returned. If you have any special drink or food requests, just ask her before hand, she really aims to please. We really enjoyed Kathleen’s and Bill company. Just remember, they are on "island time" which may be different than "ship time". Next time we are in St. Thomas, we will definitely sail Highpockets again. http://www.sailhighpockets.com

joanne1 Posted December 21, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 21, 2004 Can you tell me if there is a website and what the price was? Thanks
gambler Posted December 22, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted December 22, 2004 http://www.sailhighpockets.com It was $120 pp or $110 cash, and $100 for kids, worth every penny. Forgot to mention the cabs, they like to "fill" the cab on the way out. We were very up front (and nice) about needing to get to Red Hook by 9:30 for a sail trip. The cabby just added two more people and we were on our way. thanks, tell Kathleen Helen sent you.
