Tender Docks in Grand Cayman

Recommended Posts

We have cruised to GC twice in the past. Both times we tendered into the main town.

I was just looking at Google Maps satellite images and see in the image that ships are anchored off shore where I would expect and then more ships anchored farther down the coast. Are there actually two tender ports? Loking at the image, it looks like there is not much near the 2nd dock.

If you look in the bottom left corner of your Google image, at the correct zoom level it shows the date of the image. The image with the ships off the south coast (Spotts Dock) was taken in November 2005, (during a Norwester). The image of George Town is dated February 2007. Previously, Google had an image of the Atlantis submarine in safe harbour in South Sound, while also showing it against the dock in George Town!
