I agree, its financially counter productive to make the drinks too strong. A good "kick start" is what is intended. My point was, that even Friends of Bill and other recovering alcoholics don't get all grave-faced and somber when it comes to drinking. My father's never once given me the hairy eye ball when I've staggered home (except when I was underage). He doesn't reel off a constant lecture on the evils of demon rum. Yeah, it's a serious disease, but there is also a line behind stupid drunken behavior and serious alcoholic behavior.

Casino Player Posted May 20, 2009 #57 Share Posted May 20, 2009
Hi everyone, Heard rumors that Carnival has a Past Guest Cocktail Party. Can anyone tell me exactly what this entails? And is it on every cruise? Thanks! Joe
Past guest parties are on most cruises. I don't remember one being on a C-T-N. It entails getting dressed, usually a jacket is suggested, and having cocktails with h'douveres. Then the Cruise Director will ask who was on this ship then will run down the list of Carnival ships. One of the long running Carnival jokes is the Cruise Director will name ships then he'll slip in, "The Constipation" then someone will applaud and the CD will state, "that ship hasn't been built yet."
