Transfers nice to monte carlo/monaco

I have recently cruised on the Silverwind from Monte Carlo to Barcelona 07/05/09. With reference to transfers from Nice Airport to Port Hercule, the bus option is cheap and requires one stop in Nice central, however is not suitable if you have large amounts of luggage and elderly family members.

We were going to use a Taxi from the Airport but wanted the peace of mind that we would have a car waiting on our arrival.

After searching the internet we found Nicetransfers.com who are a small English company operating in the region. The price was €80 inclusive and they provided a minibus that was ample for all our luggage needs. The service was excellent with a relaxed but professional attitude. This is ideal for any joining cruisers who would feel more relaxed with fluent English speaking drivers. More information can be obtained from Mark on 0033 (0)6 89 91 43 77.

Sounds good, but don't forget about the Helicopter service. Tres convenient! And the views are spectacular: over Nice, but particularly over Monte Carlo.

 

It lands and takes off from the nearby seaside at both places; and a very short mini-bus ride connects at each end.

We always try to have plenty of time for the transfer from Monte Carlo to Nice--we like to take the "high road"--It's a beautiful ride, and you go by the spot where Princess Grace had her accident. It takes a little longer, but we think it's worth the time! Don

Hi - We have used both the ground transfer by private car (Nice to Monte Carlo) and Heli Air Monaco (Monte Carlo to Nice), and we prefer the Helicopter by far. They will pick you up at the ship by shuttle, and take you to the Heliport. Upon arrival the the nice airport, they take you by shuttle over to your terminal. They are a wonderful service, and the flight is quick and gives you a GREAT view of the coastline. I highly recommend this service!

Does anyone know how long it will take to get from the Nice airport to the port in Monte Carlo? Also approximately how long to get through customs? Our flight arrives in NIce at around 12:30pm and our ship leaves at 6:00pm. Are we going to be ok?
