I am wondering where is the best tour also? Can you do a Tequila tour private or do you need to do it thru the ship?

We just got back a couple of weeks ago from MR.

We had the most incredible Tequilla Tour in PV that we bought privately through Johann&Sandra who own PV Tours as well as others. It was a custom tour in van with a driver by the name of Mel....he took us to Ranchero Veranos a family operated distillery that produces high-end tequilla in amounts to supply regional hotels/restaurants. We spent about two hours there with the fellows that owned and ran the distillery....went through the whole process...and drank a lot of "tastes" of every tequilla they make. And of course bought our border limit to bring home.

This was one of the best tours we took on the whole cruise and was priced right to boot..
