Money exchange on ship

I've read previously (please someone correct me if I'm wrong!) that NCL charges $10 per transactions to do this. ?? I've also read that using ATM's give you the best exchange rate. I would check with your bank to see how much they charge to do this. I think our bank charges $4, but that's still better than $10!

ATMs are definitely the way to go for foreign exchange transactions.

My bank (Wells Fargo) charges $5 per transaction, but no percentage premium on the foreign ATM withdrawal. So for me, it's cheaper to get $500 from an ATM one time, rather than two trips for $250, 5 trips for $100, etc...etc...
