WiFi onboard Sun?

Hi all. My husband and I will be taking a cruise this summer on the Sun in Alaska. I have an iPod Touch and was wondering if I'd be able to use the WiFi to check messages from home. I've seen a webpage that mentioned fees for a WiFi card for a laptop, and fees to use their computers online, but nothing about iPods.

 

Any experience here is appreciated! Thanks!

Even if it an iPOd can work on their network (and I suspect it can't), you'd still have to buy internet time from the ship's internet cafe.

 

You can always use one of the computers in the Internet Cafe at the same price.

iPod touch and iPhone owners must pay the same rate as laptop users to access the ship's WiFi. And they will work on the ship's WiFi.

 

Your other option is to find free or cheaper WiFi in port.

When you are docked or very close to towns in Alaska, you should be able to pick up the local ATT signal. When you at sea, you will either use the onboard phone service at $2.50 per minute, or go wifi via the ships internet service. %.40 to $.75 per minute.
