Indiana Jones Posted December 11, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2004 We are are disembarking in Tampa at approx. 8am with a flight home at 3:45pm. Any ideas on what to do during this time? Read on another thread that the Aquarium will let you check in luggage while visiting?? Is this true and/or a good option??
Bequia Posted December 11, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2004 Too bad you won't have enough time for Busch Gardens Tampa. There is a Wet n Wild waterpark across the street that might be fun for a couple of hours. ;)

kjunea Posted December 16, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2004 I checked with Busch Gardens and they will hold your luggage for you while you are at the park, no problem! We are doing the Miracle in May and our flight out doesn't leave until 6:50 pm! This is the option that we are looking at.
Porchbeers Posted December 16, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 16, 2004 Oh boy...you got a lot of options First, the port is located in area referred to as "Channelside" ( http://www.channelside.com ). This is the port. No having to drive to Busch Gardens, its all right there at the port. Channelside is clean and has a lot to do. There is shopping restaraunts, etc. Here are a few highlights for you to consider: The Florida Aquarium ( http://www.flaquarium.com ): The Florida Aquarium is not huge, but its fun. It has a lot of neat exhibits. It also has areas for petting sting rays as well as other sea animals like starfish. At Channelside itself, there are a number of shops, restaraunts etc. One of my favorite places is Splitsville Lanes ( http://www.splitsvillelanes.com ). Its a nice restaraunt with bowling, food, bar, pool, etc.

LoriAB Posted December 18, 2004 #7 Share Posted December 18, 2004 We also have a late flight (6 pm) We are staying at the Chase Suites pre cruise and they will give us a room for the day for 79. We are figuring that we will just want to relax and watch some football...maybe grab a bite to eat sometime in the afternoon. They provide both port transportation and airport transportation. I'm expecting that we'll be tired and want to wind down a bit before leaving for home. This may or may not appeal to you, just a thought.
