dandro Posted May 27, 2009 #26 Share Posted May 27, 2009 On two of the last three cruises on HAL when we asked what type of hot dogs they were serving, we were informed they were turkey dogs. Not believing this as it seemed astonishing, I asked one of the main Chefs .. and they affirmed this to be the case. What ever happened to good old American Hot Dogs .. and why turkey ? harry What nationality would you call Turkey Hot Dogs if they aren't "American"? It's not so much the main ingredient that bothers me, it's the nitrites/nitrates, which are carcinogenic.
Taxguy77 Posted May 27, 2009 #27 Share Posted May 27, 2009 Oh, I wish they'd serve an Oscar Mayer weiner! That is what I'd truly like to eat. For if they'd serve an Oscar Mayer weiner, Then I'd know what's really in that meat. :D I REALLY agree with the first two lines!:D The first two years I lived in Texas, we couldn't buy O M. I picked the truck and driver to take a load to Calif., juist to have him bring me back some!! Don't remember if I tried the dogs on the Rotterdam, but the burgers were good.
