Aquahound Posted June 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2009 No. Helmets are not required on scooters. Only child passengers are required to wear them on scooters according to Florida law.
BaseballMomof4 Posted June 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2009 There's no helmet law in Florida. Much to the chagrin of the motocyclist's who have crashed I might add.

Motorcylists are required to wear a helmet in Florida. However, a person 21 years of age or older is exempted if they carry a $10,000 personal injury insurance policy for driving a motorcyle. They have to carry proof of the insurance on the bike. BTW, none of this relates to scooters of 49 cc's or less.
