Do Upsells and Upgrades Require Rebooking?

When accepting an upsell or an upgrade on HAL, is rebooking with a new booking number required? If so, how does this affect selected dining time and previously booked shore excursions? Thanks!

If HAL makes the offer, the booking is adjusted ... it is not a cancel and rebook with a new confirmation number.

If, before fiinal payment due date, you would like to take advantage of a special promo price offered for new bookings only ... it likely would be handled as a cancel and rebook. In which case, yes, you would lose your confirmed dining and cabin choice, and your shore excursions would be cancelled. So, if your choice in dining or excursions is very popular and waitlisted, you could be disappointed in the outcome.

Everything in life is a tradeoff and only you can assess what's iimportant to you.
