Beds on the Grand Princess

I have heard that there was a swap out program for the matresses which was running last year, from what i read the old matresses were bad but the new ones were ok.

 

Does anyone know if this has been completed?

Don't know if they have all been changed but I was on the Grand 23rd May and the beds were fine.

We were on the same cruise and the beds in our mini were a bit lumpy, but an egg crate made them significantly more comfortable.

We were on the Grand before the new beds were turned over. Ordered an eggcrate before we arrived. It was on the bed and we slept like babies!

We were also on the Grand 23rd May our beds were fine on Caribe deck.

Be careful what you wish for re: a new mattress. We had a full suite on the Grand in January, and the darned thing was like sleeping on the floor, actually, the floor was more comfotable. It took several egg crates to make it even tolerable. I would take the older mattress any day over the ones they are replacing them with. :(

We were on the Grand Princess on March 27, 2009, and the only possible complaint I could come up with is a very hard mattress. The one thin egg crate did little to help.
