Seahorse Car Service - Be Careful

Recommended Posts

There are many private touring companies in Italy. Two of them are excellent companies. AllAroundItaly and RomeinLimo are truly excellent and I would recommend them highly.

One company which you need to be careful with is Seahorse Car Service. We used them for a trip down the coast in Naples. We went to Positano and Sorrento and Almalfi and then to Pompeii.

The driver was just a driver; he did not know much tour information.

Now, I can't be critical of a company because of one driver, but it is necessary to give details on what happened to us.

This happened on May 24 when the Ruby Princess was docked in Naples.

Our driver is name was Gabriel. On the drive back to Naples from Positano, our driver fell asleep at the wheel, and slid into a brick wall and some garbage. Fortunately, no one was hurt however the car was damaged. It was drivable so he continued to Pompeii, and then returned us to the ship.

We were very very lucky. If this incident had happened along one of the many coast roads, the result might have been more tragic.

Please be careful when picking a private touring company.
