Nautical but Nice Posted December 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2004 Yes. You can reboard as many times as you wish up until about 8:30 or 9:00. The ship sails at 10:00 and from what I remember, the lifeboat drill was around 9:00 or 9:30. Christine
MrPete Posted December 14, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2004 Yes. Board, have lunch, and then tour. Just use your sail and sign and ID to reboard.
steveaaaa Posted December 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2004 Once you have boarded the Destiny, can you get off to tour Old San Juan? When returning, go straight to the xray line.Don't stand in any other line. Steve
sallyb Posted December 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2004 Our first cruise was on the Destiny in February.:) We had a wonderful time. We did get back off the ship and purchased some rum in the little store right there at the terminal. They scanned our bag getting back to the ship and never said a word. We didn't spend a lot of time in San Juan, because we were so excited to get on the ship and we knew we would have time to explore when we returned. H184A Posted December 15, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted December 15, 2004 Thank you for your replies, I thought that was the case. But I was told by a Carnival vacation planner yesterday that passengers were never able to leave the Destiny after embarking in San Juan. I just hope the ship is better than the recent reviews, I have seen on this and other sites.

This was my 2nd time on the Destiny, the first being when she was brand new.
