*Mach* Posted June 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2009 I can't think of a thing bad or ugly about her. Some folks get wrapped up in the fact that pink is a domamint color but it didn't bother me in the least. You can find my pictures of the ship here: http://s242.photobucket.com/albums/ff313/mach_man/Splendor%201/ and here: http://s242.photobucket.com/albums/ff313/mach_man/Splendor%202/
tulsacubfan Posted June 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2009 The good: I thought she was a beautiful ship. But then I like pink! The food was wonderful. Overall the service was wonderful. The bad: Shipboard activities were lacking. We do enjoy the trivia, but would have liked some other alternatives as well and it just didn't seem like there was much. Perhaps had we been in the Mexican Riviera and were able to just veg in the sun or napped on the balcony, we wouldn't have cared. We aren't into casinos or bars, so that didn't offer any draw for us. cooltj Posted June 12, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 12, 2009 Was on her about 2 weeks ago or so.. The good- Dinning room, Big Screen Movies on Lido, Shows, Deli, Rotisserie chicken on deck 10, DOD, Great customer service from Carnival employees. The Bad- To many rude cruisers, short hours for Camp Carnival, Cold water for water slide and back pool, unable to use the spa unless you purchase service in cloud 9, Lot of smoke in Casino and surrounding area. nolaAlive Posted June 12, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 12, 2009 While there is a charge for the Spa, the gym is still free and there is a free sauna.
Rare Tgianco Posted June 13, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 13, 2009 Yeah, the water in the aft pool was frigid, but I like that area a lot. The hot tubs are great, the bar back there is great, the views are great, the cocktail waiters were on top of things, the eye candy was nice, the tandoor grill is very good and so is the Deli... and that's all just the little aft area. I could cruise on that part of the Splendor for a week. The water is warm in the main lido pool. The movies by the pool is nice. As was pointed out, you're on a cruise, so enjoy the hell out of it. I can't wait to go back. By the way, the crew was outstanding. Service everywhere was great. Everything was clean, too.
