Look2Sea Posted June 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2009 How do you get chips at the casino? Do you pay for chips from your onboard account? I assume they will not take cash? How do you cash chips in? Does it go back to your onboard account? Or will they give you cash? If cash, do they charge 3 percent? I have not gambled on a cruise ship. Only been on one cruise, and it was Disney cruise. Any tips on how not to get carried away?

And they are more than happy to take cash at any time if you want to avoid the 3% fee.
BarbaraM Posted June 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2009 The casino will take cash. You can withdraw cash from your onboard acct. (or used to-- I bring cash for gambling). There are atm's, but there is a fee. Tips for not getting carried away -- same that applies to any casino -- know what you are willing to lose and stop. IMO, the slots are extremely stingy -- I don't bother anymore.
