Picnic in Juneau?

There's a park area right where the ships dock, which is kind of nice. You can always bring a picnic lunch to Mendenhall Glacier, I did notice some tables there, also.

The Glacier Gardens also has picnic tables.

Have fun!

A picnic at Mendenhall Glacier might provide bears for table mates. Not sure I would do it.

In any case when picnicing in Alaska be careful and keep food in tight containers and/or eat it quickly. Don't leave scraps around and don't feed the animals.

My old Dad used to say that bears really love bacon and smoked meats of all sorts. I would avoid those.
