Food after embarkation

Our Windsurf cruise departs Civitavecchia at 8pm and embarkation begins at 1pm. We will be flying into Rome from London that morning, and have arranged a shuttle service to take us directly to the port. My question is (as a first time cruiser) will be be able to eat on the ship when we arrive (should be around 2pm) or should we try to pick up something before we board? Otherwise it will be a long time between breakfast in London and dinner on the ship!

We recently boarded the Surf in Nice at about that same time (2 pm) and they were serving a light lunch. Room service is also available. You should be fine.

Enjoy your cruise!
