How far from Progresso to Merida???

How far is it from Progresso to Merida and what is the best way to get there? I want to see both places. ALSO, while in Merida, do you have time to see any ruins?

If you take the bus to Merida, the ride will take you about 40 minutes, please allow about 20 minutes for buying tickets, boarding, waiting for bus to leave, etc. If you take a cab it's about 30 minutes. Cab should run you around $25-$30 USD, bus around $3.

The closest ruins to Progreso are Dzibilchaltun, about half way between Progreso and Merida.

It will be an extremely tight schedule to see Dzibilchaltun, Progreso and Merida in one day. I would pick two of them, as things like traffic and a different pace of life will be factors for sure.
