Hi All,

I've seen all kinds of posts where people are meeting others going on their same trip and wanted to see if there was anyone going on mine in August. Also, Just upgraded my room to a Balcony (8B) and was wondering if anyone had any pictures and/or comments regarding this kind of room. It's my first time and want to be as "ahead of the game" in terms of preparation as possible. Many thanks!!

Howdy,

We had a 8B (6347 on the Upper Deck)on the 7th of June sailing to Canada and loved it. Not sure what you need to know so I'll probably go into too much detail. The Splendor has a flat screen TV mounted on the wall in front of the bed...great location. The cabin came with a safe, a small fridge, three closets and a small "desk" with drawers. A ton of storage space and the suitcases fit nicely under the bed. The bathroom is small but manageable. I'm 6'2" and found the shower small but it worked out okay. There are 2 dispensers mounted on the wall of the shower with one containing shampoo and the other body wash. Each cabin comes with a hair dryer so you can keep yours at home. There is a lack of electrical outlets but most people bring a strip cord with them. Our cabin was very quiet even though it was below a public area (vicinity of the casino, I think). No noise above us. I spent quite a bit of time on the balcony. Didn't notice any smoke coming from my neighbors but that wouldn't have bothered me...always a good breeze. Personally I don't understand why it would bother some but I don't want to start another smoking thread.

Hopefully this helps a bit but let me know if you have any questions. I did take a picture with my phone but it's way too dark can can't see much.

Thanks for the info Cushing... this is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. I secretly upgraded my room as a present to my boyfriend for our one year anniversary! I was wondering if it was going to be everything we expected and it sounds like it will. Thank you again!!
