Help, cannot find it via search or in my notes:o

seem to recall reading that there was a venue open for lunch (sit down vs the buffet) day of embarking ...we're AF & won't have the cagney's option, darn it.

with really nice weather, the BBQ can get crowded. people sitting around the pool's edge, all the loungers taken...but it's fun. music, food and great views!

have a great cruise...enjoy alaska!

As Toyz711 mentioned, the larger main dining room will be open. It generally opens at 12:30 on embarkation day, and there will be many crew members strongly suggesting you eat at the buffet. But head to the dining room anyway ;) Very few people know about this room being open; I always assume the few passengers there are either frequent NCL cruisers or members of CruiseCritic.

because most of the crew/staff/servers are getting ready for the new passenagers and they have a limited number of servers to put in the versailles (or any of the restaurants). that's why they don't have most open for embarkment. even in the buffet, they staff many be less then normal...thought the greeters will be out in full force.

head to main dining room. This is a big tip from everyone here at Cruisecritic.

We board early, eat quiet lunch in dining room. Then, late afternoon, head up topside and get another snack. along with drinks each time!

Hi, we will be sailing in September, and staying the previous night in Seattle, so we can arrive at the ship whenever we want. I don't know what time embarkation begins and ends, so I'm torn between getting there early and hanging out on board all day, or having lunch in town and getting there later. Any info regarding embarkation times (including lines, since Sweetie is not known as Mr. Patience). Thanks!
