bamakathy Posted June 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2009 I wrote an article after several cruises. when I had gotten my packing down to a science. I still refer to it every time we cruise on Carnival. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/98327/what_to_pack_for_a_carnival_cruise.html?cat=16 Going for my sixth cruise Nov 10th. I can't wait! Rosefloater Posted June 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2009 For a 7 day, or longer, cruise, I use a 22" suitcase. Whatever doesn't fit, I leave out. I mix and match and don't take outfits. Best tip is to use the roll up type space bags. They don't save weight, but lots of space. For a 3 or 4 day cruise, I pack in a rolling backback and still don't wear all the clothes. The less I bring, the happier I am.

salty dingo Posted June 27, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2009 We have always taken too much... next cruise we will limit to one suitcase each, 50 lbs max. What does not fit, does not go! Actually, since the airlines charge so much for that second bag, it is a great incentive not to over-pack.
cathyz Posted June 27, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 27, 2009 \ Good advice. Worried,,,, I can't live w/o an iron!! And that's why they have irons for you to use in the laundry rooms. Also, the article is a little out of date, they do allow nice shorts in the dining room at dinner on the 'cruise casual' nights.
