Cash deposit on S&S. Will they give you some $$ back mid week?

Just wondering. If you put...lets say 600.00 down, cash, on your S&S and say mid week you have only used 250.00 of it. Would they give you "some" cash back if you asked nicely

I guess it's possible but why not only provide $250.00 and add to it when needed ?

Lets assume some more here. Say its a 7 day cruise for 2 ppl. That would take another $140 off the top of the $600. So you are down to $210. I would assume you could get YOUR cash back, but when it/if it runs low, they will ask for more cash or a credit card. If neither are provided, your S&S cards will probably would be locked down:D. But these are all assumtions on my part:p.

I'm not sure about getting money back. But....my family was split between two cabins. We were constantly moving money around between the cabins and changing the charge allowances of the kids. They were extremely flexible and didn't question a thing. I think this is something they see all the time.

On another note....I spent the majority of my money on the last night. I was taking advantages of all the "sales" that were onboard. A check was left under our doors for the balances on the accounts that we had. We could either take it to our bank or take it to Guest Services in the morning to get it cashed. No problems either way!

With all due respect, this S&S card seems to be a major worry point for you with all these posts about it.

I would recommend just put enough on it to cover your expected needs (as previously recommended) then add some if necessary. Leave the rest of your cash in the cabin safe.

Oh I can answer this one, yes you can draw cash off. Either by going to the pursers desk and asking to remove XX amount of cash or by transferring it your casino players account and cashing out at the casino cage (easiest option, no long wait in line).

I won bingo and asked out of curiousity about taking it out early and the lady told me I could add or remove cash from the account at any time. That even removing it all wouldn't close the account or anything, just that if I used my card after I removed it all, I'd have to come in and settle up before the end of the cruise.

I did wind up cashing out my account at the pursers/info desk the last sea day. They paid me in cash, then I didn't have to deal with a check under the door or trying to cash it the next morning.

Curious....

Why would you want to withdraw money before the end of the cruise??? I can understand on the last day, but not in the middle.

Poo, when you won bingo, did they give you cash or did it go onto your S&S account? I won the big bingo on Princess in December ($2750) and they gave me cash right then and there.

They put the bingo winning onto my S&S, no cash option. You won a huge pot, mine was $750 and I was thrilled, can't imagine winning $2,000 more WOW

LOL yeah... well you should have seen us! My mom bought my tickets to play with one provision - I share any winnings with her. It was the last bingo of the cruise, so it was the big one. I think he called 53 numbers when I had just one remaining, so I stood up (he asked us to). I was the only one standing. He asked what column I needed and I told him B. Well, he hadn't called very many B's yet, so that was a given he said. He looked at the next ball and said well as luck would have it, the next one is a B. Of course he took his time announcing it... lol... Beeeeeeee fiffffffff (I knew then that I won) teeeeeen. (B15... lol) My mom (67 years old with a metal rod in her back) jumped out of her seat like a 2 year old and was jumping up and down screaming... lmao!! Of course my Aunt and I were also hollering!!

Anyway, it worked out to be $1375 each....more than the price of the cruise. So... basically... I got a free cruise!!!

But thats nice to know that Carnival puts it on your S&S card.
