bringing wine opnboard in Venice

Has anyone boarded with wine in Venice on Princess. I know they let you bring a bottle...but just wondering if we are going on a 12 night, do they check for more? Also, can you always bring wine back on when you have been in a port as well?

Thanks

it has been our experience that princess will allow you to bring wine etc on board in moderation. if we are somewhere different dh may want to try the local beer and we have always brought 2 or 3 on from a port and put it in our bag that went thru the scanners...no problem. have bought local rum etc and again had it in our bag and not been taken away. 1 or 2 bottles of wine have always been allowed.
