This is a very helpful discussion! I was wondering if anyone traveling with children around 10-13 has had a tour with either Marcello or Salvatore. If so, how was the experience? Thanks.

When we toured with Marcello in June of 2007, it was just our family of DH, me and our 2 sons (ages 14 and 20). To answer your question, our 14 year old son had was enthralled with the Amalfi coastline, the wonderful multi-course lunch that seemed to last forever, and Pompeii. It probably was his favorite day of the 12 day cruise. Marcello shows you the "real Italy" not just the tourist spots.

 

We all still reminisce often about our trip and especially that day with Marcello.

 

I also want to add that our day in Tuscany (Livorno) was another highlight and again our driver/guide was incredible!
