Something I hadn't seen in the past, there was was a note in the Princess Patter that on the Princess sponsered fishing excursions that the fish caught could be brought back on board and would be prepared for dinner.

This was on the Sea Princess 6/13 trip. Not allowed on private excursions.

That sure is a sad thought for the local charter fishermen. But if I really wanted to go fishing, I would arrive two days earlier, and go fishing before the cruise. That way, you can also arrange to ship it back from the fish locker on a specific date/time - and - cook your own fish. :cool:

This has always been the case for as long as I have been sailing Alaska- 15 years. We've had plenty of fresh caught salmon on cruiseships, many times sharing it with table mates.

I always thought that you could not bring fish back on board, of course I would always book fishing trips on my own and not through the ship

We used to do this for pax some 45 years ago when I crewed on an Alaska cruise ship...and no it was not an ark.:rolleyes:
