Need help deciding which cruise

I don't know how long a cruise you are planning to take but most of the cruises that go to Hawaii from California are very long. You would have to plan on taking about two weeks for the cruise and then you might even have to fly home from Hawaii since those cruises are frequently one way. You would probably be better off flying to Hawaii and getting on the cruise there. NCL has a couple of different cruises they offer that go to the islands.

If you want to only do a 7 day cruise in Hawaii, you have no choice but to fly there and get on the NCL ship that cruises the islands. If you want to cruise from the US to Hawaii, those cruises are at least 10 days long, and then you have to fly to Hawaii or back home from Hawaii when the cruise is finished. There are just a couple of cruise ships that do maybe two round trip cruises to Hawaii a year, to and from San Diego, but those cruises are 14 days or longer and are quite expensive. So, if money is a consideration, and you can't do a two week cruise, you really have no choice but to fly round trip to and from Hawaii and do the seven day cruise on NCL.
