Sunmist Posted July 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2009 We are flying into La Guardia airport and want to take a taxi directly to the Brooklyn pier. What are the best taxi services to call? Do i need to call the night beforehand or right when we land? Thank you so much for your input!

Do i need to call the night beforehand or right when we land? Thank you so much for your input! We always use a car service, its a flat rate so you are not tied to the meter. Approx $60 plus tip. They do not take res, just call them 10 minutes before you want to be picked up outside baggage claim. Here are the 2 we use.... olegna Posted July 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2009 Did it last week. From Penn Station, the cab ride would cost about $21.50. That is roughly $25 with a 15% tip. It is about 7.3 miles. On the way back, there were plenty of cabs at the port. http://nyccabfare.com/
LidoLiz Posted July 6, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 6, 2009 We booked online a month in advance with Eastern Car Service. They're based in Brooklyn, and won't get lost on the way to the pier! LL
