jfv379 Posted July 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2009 If not going with cruise line's insurance, what other options are there for cancelation insurance for Canadians? Read the thread "Booking far ahead" on this page. It gives two web sites for insurance. Not sure if it's good for Canadians, but give them a call. DanJ Posted July 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2009 Our TA uses RBC insurance, but we've been fortunate not to have to try to collect on either the cancellation, or the out of country medical parts of it.

toberman Posted July 8, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 8, 2009 Have always used RBC Travel Insurance. Your TA should be able to give you more options. Doug

franu Posted July 9, 2009 #10 Share Posted July 9, 2009 RBC quickly processed my claim when DH died a few months before our cruise. They also paid my single supplement which was quite sizable for a 30 day cruise. I was very pleased with their service. Fran

Putterdude Posted July 9, 2009 #12 Share Posted July 9, 2009 We have always used RBC for cancellation insurance and generally use EFTS for travel medical. As we are out of the Canada for over 5 mos each year we do use EFTS for our medical and have had a claim which ran more than $30k US and although they did their due diligence they did pay the claim in full.:)
2206 Posted July 9, 2009 #13 Share Posted July 9, 2009 Another vote for RBC. We used them earlier this year and had no problems with our claim.
