Egypt Nile river cruise ships, Sonesta and Florence

We are considering a tour that includes a Nile River cruise with ships, Sonesta or Florence.

Any information about the ships and the quality of the land tours would be appreciated.

I have used the Search function on Cruise Critic will post this request in the CC North Africa forum and useTrip Advisor's Egypt forum. Any other suggestions?

We were on the MS Nile Dolphin. However be aware that most tour operators can and do substitue the particular ship they use at the last minute. The "ships" are rates 4 star, 5 star, and 5 star plus. The MS Nile Dolphin was a 5 star and was totally acceptable. I wouldn't have wanted anything less. We visited a 5 star plus and wouldn't have wanted that either - just a lot of extra brass and mirrors.

 

Sonesta has 4 ships. Just goggle for information. And goggle Florence Nile cruises for more info on those.
