Barcelona Rambla de Poblenou

We are staying in a hotel a few blocks from Rambla de Poblenou pre-cruise for 3 nights in August (the weekend we are there is very booked up). Has anyone stayed in this area and can advise what it's like? It's hard to tell from Google street view if there are lots of restaurants etc. Thanks.
