PAMWANTSTOCRUISE Posted July 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2009 do you have to be do swim with the dolphins? I have 2 daughters that really want to do this. I think my 11 year old would be totally fine. It's the 8 year old I'm questioning. They are wearing a life jacket. How well do they actually have to be able to swim? I would hate to let one child swim and one only pet but.... I'm looking at Dolphin Cove Encounter or swim in Grand Cayman. Thanks for any advice you may have. Lisichka Posted July 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2009 The swim vests are huge and will help anyone float. Personally I don't think you have to know how to swim at all. As long as he knows how to paddle and kick, he should be fine.
serene56 Posted July 11, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2009 There is a huge difference between an encounter and a swim. I think if you ae worried an encounter will be good enough. make sure you know exactly what you get with whatever you book.
