Halloween at sea

Recommended Posts

We'll be on the Grandeur of the Seas on October 31. Does RCCL do anything special/fun/interesting for Halloween? Trick-or-treating for grown-ups? ;)

Don't know about Grandeur, but they did on the Explorer. Read my review for the 10/08 sailing.

Here's one costume we'll never forgetHallo1.jpg

I was on Explorer in 2007 over the Halloween holiday. They had a costume party where the "best costume" won. There was also a lot of decorations around the ship. It was a lot of fun. I was also on Majesty a few years ago for Halloween and there was a costume party. I don't know about "trick or treat" for grownups. I guess it might depend on the ship and on the cruise director. I think that you will have a BALL. :D

We have been aboard the Jewel for several Halloween parties. If you are on a warm weather cruise, RCI has held a "pool party". If the weather is not cooperating or you in a cooler climate, they have held the party somewhere inside.

As long as you are not sailing from Europe, there will be some decorations and activities. Europeans do not generally celebrate this holiday the way it is celebrated "over here".

Actually have seen some trick-or-treating, but you best look MUCH younger to participate!!! :p

We had a fun Halloween onboard the Rhapsody of the Seas a couple years ago. Ship areas decorated with pumpkins, ghosts and such. On Halloween there was a costume party and a huge chocolate buffet including 'Dracula' popping up from a makeshift coffin. The crew and pass had a really fun time.

Noticed lots of pass passing out candy to kids, decorations on cabin doors. There was Trick or Treating throughout the ships shops, bars and lounges.

We too saw some wild costumes (some not for little eyes ;)
