Delbankin Posted July 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2009 Hi, I've seen that on our forthcoming cruise we could book a ship's tour that takes us to Fairview Lawn cemetery and the museum with Titanic exhibits. I wondered if anyone could advise if it's possible to get to these two destinations without taking a ship's tour as I imagine if it was it would be much less costly than a ship tour. Hope to hear from someone that can answer my query. Del.
Rare mizLORInj Posted July 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2009 We went to the Maritime Museum when in Halifax last year (not on a cruise). They had lots of cool stuff about the Titanic and other vessels. I don't recall where the cemetary was but you can surely take a cab there. PennyAgain Posted July 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 13, 2009 The Maritime Museum is a nice walk from where the ship's dock. The exhibits are nice. The cemetery is a disappointment. In any case you don't need the ship's over priced tour.
