Lunur Posted July 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2009 Hello everyone. I am having trouble finding a private fishing excursion for Sitka that goes out for either the whole, or half day, that caters to cruise ship passengers. My 15 year old son wants to fish so bad. I am aware of Jim Seeland with Sitka Sound Tours, but he is booked the day we arrive. Has anybody used anyone else? Any suggetions? Thanks. doe64 Posted July 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2009 Try going with Captain Davey at puffinsandwhales.com. We have actually booked with Captain Jim but also inquired with Captain Davey. Both were very helpful and professional. Good luck!
H2O babe Posted July 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2009 Four of us fished with Big Blue Charters in Sitka on July 3rd. Ben was our guide. We are shipping home halibut and yellow eye rockfish. We had a good time. www.bigbluecharters.com Best of luck to you. K.
H2O babe Posted July 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Just an update -- we are having some issues right now with the Big Blue Charter Processing plant and the shipment of our fish. If you use them as a charter service you might want to check into other processing plants in Sitka that will process your fish for you and ship it home if you are planning to do that.
