ranchette Posted July 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2009 Looking to stay in Vancouver prior to my cruise. Price has City Hall-downtown Vancouver south and downtown Vancouver. Which one would I choose to be near the cruise ship,or are they both the same zones.
candide333 Posted July 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2009 Check out this link: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=412919 I used biddingfortravel.yuku.com and http://www.betterbidding.com for help in bidding. You would want downtown Vancouver. I got the Pan Pacific for $95 for 9/18/09 - 9/20/09.

Which boat are you taking (which depends on which cruise terminal) and when are you taking it? Downtown is a peninsula, and Canada Place (most cruises) is right downtown. Ballantyne Pier (some RCCL/=X= cruises) is about 2 miles east of Canada Place. The "City Hall" bidding zone, is the area about 1.5 miles south of Canada Place, just south of the peninsula, essentially the corner of Broadway and Cambie. If you're going out of Canada Place, AND you're going after Labour Day, bidding City Hall will place you in a slightly cheaper zone which is only 4 stops away on a brand new subway to Canada Place (from the airport). This map with a few important locations on it might help explain it better. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=100934763039761071004.000467645fcda21dd87b2&ll=49.269485,-123.109188&spn=0.064965,0.181789&z=
