Watching Mama Mia

I am wondering if part of this movie was actually filmed in Greece. Does anyone know? We will be stopping in Corfu, Mykonos, Santorini and Athens on our next cruise.

We saw "My Life in Ruins" a few months ago. I was hoping for more scenery of Greece, but it was a gun movies anyway.

Not quite on the point, but if you are seeking to get a 'feel' for your destinations, can I suggest a book called 'Since I don't have You' by Louse Candlish (£5.49 on Amazon)?

 

This book was recommended to me on the cruise line forum here when I was researching a recent trip around the Greek Islands. Although it's about a bereaved Mum (I thought I wouldn't want to read it because of this) it's a lovely, gentle story which despite the background is quite up-lifting and is set in Oia (the gorgeous village near Santorini). It paints a picture of life in Oia and I read it just before we went there and found my visit was enhanced by having read the story first.

 

Enjoy your trip though - it's a beautiful area to visit. :)

Thanks for the interesting websites, HeinBloed and for the book recommendation, Kruzseeker. I will put to on my "to read" list. I am just finishing "The Glassblower of Murano", by Marina Fiorato. I have really enjoyed this book, especially since we will be visiting Venice for a second time on our upcoming cruise.
