cher45 Posted May 10, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Does anyone have directions from Fort Myers to Port of Miami. I usually take the bus but this time there are to many so we opted to drive. I am getting nervous that I will get lost. pcur Posted May 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2004 According to my handy-dandy Rand McNally Tripmaker software, take Hiwy 82 to Interstate 75 south to the Florida Turnpike (also Hiwy 75), East all the way across Florida to merge with I 595, then I 95 South into Miami. Someone else, I'm sure can give you the specifics to the Port, or Yahoo Maps can help, too. Peggy - RCI since 1973
glgolfer Posted May 10, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2004 The RCI website has directions almost right to the parking lot. Also, the Port of Miami site tells you what ships are docked where. pinkrosesdeb Posted May 10, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2004 cher, we live in Sarasota and I grew up in Miami. We always take 75 to Naples, it turns into Alligator Alley, take it all the way across, pick up the turnpike south, stay on the turnpike to 836 east towards airport, it will drop you right onto Biscayne Blvd. Take a right and you will see signs to the Port. mrscintn Posted May 11, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 11, 2004 [QUOTE]Originally posted by cher45: Is the turnpike south considered I-95? NO the turnpike is not I-95......two different roadways. Follow the directions that pinkrosesdeb wrote out as that is the easiest way to get to the port of Miami from Ft. Meyers. The only other way to go would be to take the Tamiami Trail (41), but that would be too confusing and a longer route. [QUOTE]
